Rod has spent most of his life and career in the Annapolis Valley. With 15 years on the radio airwaves, several years in the car business and decades serving his community, Rod is the epitome of "Community". He's volunteered to emcee countless fundraising initiatives and for more than 30 years has hosted various Christmas Fundraising Telethons across the valley.

He's supported the towns of Berwick and Middleton through his years on Town Council and has sat on several committees. You might also find him donating blood for Canadian Blood Services!!
